The Fire Within

We live and breathe and have our being within a lacy matrix of silvery threads which string together beads of opalescent human experience. Everything is connected to everything else. There is no knot signaling and end. There is no open fiber designating a beginning. There is no way to fathom the delicate pattern looped and weaved and knotted and pulled and stretched into the solid unified fabric that is the multidimensional universe. There is no way to display the infinite eternal Lace of Life in a linear frame.

Intricate and multi-layered is this lace within our personal consciousness. Infinite and eternal, thick with dimension and realm is the lace outside, where it becomes our Cosmic Consciousness. Recognizing nothing of the Cosmic, we see but a minuscule thread of the personal lace, and that for only a nanosecond. More of the personal we will eventually realize, through the natural expansion of our consciousness. The Cosmic we cannot know without the volitional work that physically alters our body's biological limitations and allows our consciousness to expand sufficiently to receive Cosmic Knowledge woven in Lace.

Impelled by her desire to create, the potter sits at her wheel mesmerized by the spinning, watching the clay forming into a chalice by hands seemingly not her own. So must we desire, and work by our own volition, willing the wheel of life into motion and shaping ourselves into vessels worthy of receiving the greater Light.

Not for ourselves alone, but for the spiritual evolution of all mankind must be the reason for the work.

THE FIRE WITHIN each of us is presently working to blaze forth into the world, if not in this lifetime, then in another. To those readers attending now, know that your FIRE can shine in this lifetime if you wish to do the Work. And here the intricacies of lace begin to fold around themselves and loop through the near layer then weave into a closer dimension, for you see, the truth is that your FIRE is already shining in the world, but you know it not. Like all knowledge, it is a matter of consciousness, and until it is conscious, it remains mystery.

Since recorded history, and probably before, humans have wondered about the meaning of life and asked: "why am I here?" and "If there is a god, what is it?" Deep questions. Unanswerable, muse philosophers. Of course! defend believers. Who knows? reply skeptics. Who cares, the materialist remarks.

The occultist turns a page and nods agreement, we know. We see through a glass darkly, but we see Light. We can rend the veil. Knowing is possible.

As it is above, so it is below: as it is below, so it is above, invoke the Adept and Sage, knowing the Microcosm is but a reflection of the Macrocosm.

E=mc² says Albert Einstein and the universe is sealed. Bam. Finite and infinite at once. ALL THAT IS, is all that ever was, or ever will be, and is infinite and eternal. Simple as an energy exchange: water to ice. complex as DNA: thought to human being.

The foundation of The Western Mystery Tradition is THE ONE THING, describing it as OMNISCIENT, OMNIPOTENT, and OMNIPRESENT, calling it THE LIMITLESS LIGHT, but it is known by many names. The Limitless Light is darkness to the human eye, as space is darkness until it condenses into centers of expressions called suns, a fraction of whose radiant energy is within our field of vision. This radiant energy, seen and unseen, then condenses further, congeals, and becomes all the dense manifested forms that we are, we see, we eat, we walk through, we swim in, we breathe.

Modern physics has identified, named and somewhat explained a phenomenon called the ELECTRON. By definition, THE ELECTRON IS PERPETUAL MOTION - PURE ENERGY. If it is not moving, it is not. Period. Our machines track the electron only by the trail of radiant energy it leaves behind as it moves. This invisible electron, with its unknowable energy source, can be compared to the Limitless Light which we can neither see nor understand. Like the occultist, we "see through a glass darkly."

However, we both see Light. The electron and THE LIMITLESS LIGHT must be composed of something, and they are, at least in theory. So far, Quantum Mechanics has come up with Superstring Theory and M Theory (M for mystery), which roughly states that ALL OF EVERYTHING, FROM ABSOLUTE ZERO TO UNFATHOMABLY HOT PLASMA, FROM ZERO PRESSURE OF NO ATMOSPHERE TO THE IMMEASURABLE DENSE GRAVITY OF THE ASTROPHYSICIST'S BLACK HOLE, EVERYTHING IS IN IRREVOCABLE MOTION.

AT EVERY LEVEL OF PERCEPTION OR AWARENESS AND BEYOND HUMAN CONSCIOUSNESS, EVERYTHING, IS A WORD, IS VIBRATING. These universal vibrations are only roughly comparable to the waves and frequencies and amplitudes emanating from violin strings, BUT in an infinite, limitless range so vast the mind cannot comprehend them. These vibratory superstrings come in an undetermined number of shapes, lengths, widths, and dimensions. Each individual, multi-dimensional string intertwines and twists and combines with others in an infinite number of ways to form the infinite number of those manifestations we can see, and those we cannot see. Like molecules and atoms. Like subatomic particles: electrons, protons, neutrons, and photons. Like even ultramicroscopic sub-nuclear particles: quarks, nuons, neutrinos, photinos, gluons, gravitons, which make up the atoms, which make up the elements, which can transmut into different elements via heat and/or pressure exchange, which make up the molecules of the air we breathe, the water we drink, the food we eat, the clothes we wear and other physical matter we can sense.

Indeed, we live and breathe and have our being in a great Cosmic Sea of superstring modifications from the farthest galaxy cluster to the infinitesimally small neutrinos. Thus quantum mechanics proposes that "space" does not exist, confirming THE LIMITLESS LIGHT and the ONE THING as a probable scientific fact¹.

And that's just on the MASS side of E=mc², the Law of Conservation of Energy/Matter. The same vibrational strings compose FORCE, which we experience as Energy in the form of electricity, magnetism, radiation and any number of combinations, all having as their foundation the ultramicroscopic sub-particle vibrational "strings." What E=mc² tells the ignorant is that energy is convertible into mass and mass is convertible back into energy at a definite ratio: twice the speed of light. The bottom line of E=mc² is that all the mass and energy that ever was and ever will be is here now, infinitely and eternally. Though energy and Mass will change forms, giving the appearance of "newness," new energy cannot come into being. New Mass cannot come into being, for they must come from something, and that something is each other in the eternal cycle represented by wood to fire to ashes to dirt to seed to tree to wood. Same kind of cycle for EVERYTHING THAT IS. Seen and unseen. Mass to Energy to Mass to Energy, in infinite variation and with as yet unaccountable anomalies. Conclusion?

ALL OF EVERYTHING IS COMPOSED OF CONTINUOUS VIBRATIONAL MOTION. WE LIVE IN AN INFINITE AND ETERNAL SEA OF VIBRATION. SOME VIBRATION WE CAN SEE AND FEEL. SOME WE CAN'T. SOME WE ONLY SENSE, BUT OUR HUMAN BODIES ARE COMPOSED OF THE SAME FUNDAMENTAL SUPERSTRING VIBRATIONS AS ARE CRYSTALS AND PETUNIAS AND KITTENS AND AIR AND ELECTRICITY. EACH VIBRATION IS SPIRALED AROUND AND CUDDLED UP TO LIMITLESS MILLIONS OF OTHERS IN UNIQUE MANNERS, ULTIMATELY CREATING DIFFERENT FORMS LIKE HUMANS, WHO ARE ALL THE SAME BUT DIFFERENT. SO... ALL WE COMPREHEND IS ALIKE, BUT DIFFERENT.

The Western Mystery Tradition also has a "M"ystery Theory that says:

"True, without falsehood, certain and most true, that which is above is as that which is below, and that which is below is as that which is above, for the performance of the Miracles of the One Thing. And as all things are from One, by the mediation of the One, so all things have their birth from this One Thing by adaptation².

The superstrings of quantum mechanics adapt and mediate to perform the Miracles of the One thing and give birth to all things, including air, fire, earth, water, stars, and galaxies, and are what can be called LIMITLESS LIGHT. Thus, all things are from The One Thing by modification in vibratory quantity/quality. Even as our best scientists do not understand the electron's perpetual motion but can describe its qualities, so humanity is unable to understand THE LIMITLESS LIGHT any deeper than to describe its qualities as Omniscience: all knowing (mind); Omnipotence: all powerful (energy); and Omnipresence: all present (spirit-matter continuum). What we often neglect to admit is that, like suns in the firmament, humans are condensed points of expression of THE LIMITLESS LIGHT, that intelligent, purposeful, ever evolving, cycling, condensing, Nova-ing, decaying, growing, dark and brilliant LIMITLESS LIGHT.

We are THE FIRE WITHIN, which is both eternal and eternally evolving, cycling through life after life, ever spiraling into greater consciousness. We are THE FIRE WITHIN, which is an electromagnetic force we cannot understand.

The mandate of Naveh haMarah, Abode of the Great Mother, is to assist in birthing greater consciousness in humanity. To achieve a greater consciousness, the individual must begin to "separate the earth from the fire³," begin to experience the material body as a temporary abode of the eternal spirit. When that work is accomplished, the individual realizes immortality while still in a flesh body, and begins to live life from that perspective. The certainty of immortality is the end result of the Initiation of Tiphareth on the Qabalistic Tree of Life: Christ Consciousness.

To actually perform THE GREAT WORK, which is becoming conscious of being more than human, we work in MENTAL MATTER⁴. Remember the superstring vibrations? They are pure energy of motion, and if anything is in motion, it's our minds. Our minds are in constant motion, asleep or awake. Most of the time we don't have much to say about what our minds think, they just do it. Sometimes we concentrate and focus, like when balancing our checkbooks or watching a movie. Usually, our minds are swinging from one random scattered thought to another non-sequitor fractured thought, like confused monkeys, mostly making judgments about everything in relation to the pleasure/pain received from our five senses.

The beginning of The Great Work is to master the "monkey mind," which is preoccupied with temporary and finite material sensory input, and turn it into MIND, which is occupied with realizing the eternal and real Fire Within.

Remember superstrings? Remember that all of everything is composed of vibration? "Everything" includes THOUGHT. Thoughts are energetic because the vibrations created by thinking can be scientifically measured. Furthermore, THOUGHTS, focused and concentrated, attract more energy, and become Mental Matter called thought-forms. Thought is energetic and ENERGY FOLLOWS THOUGHT. Given Omniscient, Omnipotent, and Omnipresent, it cannot be otherwise.

At this point, the human's unique VOLITION is invoked.

Here we need an aside: human babies, as far as we know, cannot control their bodies, their environment, their culture, their siblings, their parents, or their thoughts. As their genetic make up dictates, they grow, their human powers develop, body functions are controlled, comprehension evolves before speech, etc. All these influences on infant humans, genetics included, help to form the PERSONALITY of the individual, which usually begins to show up the first time their smile reaches their eyes. Still, the wee human has no control over the elements that form personality, though self-consciousness can be observed as manifesting at a very early age. "Personality" is the part of a human's consciousness that the human believes him/herself to be. It is the way the human presents him/herself to interact with the world. It is also the concealed way the human really thinks things ought to be, and is shaped by emotionally interpreted experiences. It is filled with mistaken conclusions, negative interpretations, and counterproductive behaviors. Not until the human has grown, has become somewhat educated and experienced, and has recognized the INTERIOR DESIRE to relate differently to the world and verbalized the desire, can VOLITION be invoked to accomplish CHANGE.

To our knowledge, only the human being has the ability to control thought. For us, THOUGHT can be VOLITIONAL. We can WILL ourselves to think about anything, or not to think about some things. We may not sustain a thought for long at first, but with practice we find energy accumulating around, not only the ability to think, but also the thought itself, and we learn to maintain our focus and concentration longer and longer. Eventually, we can sustain our thought of a chocolate cake, or of a new carburetor, long enough to manifest icing or a car that runs.

Thus, we work in mental matter to manifest objects.
Just so, we work in mental matter to manifest transformation in our personalities.

Motivated by the Desire Nature, humans THINK by using their IMAGINATION, MEMORY, and REASON. Because we want to, we imagine the future and daydream about the present, we remember the past, or we deduce and draw conclusions. That's it. That's all our minds can do, except to receive Intuition. The word Qabalah means "to receive."

Humans tend to pride themselves on their "judgment" which is a combination of remembering past experiences, applying the results to present situations, and drawing conclusions about appropriate actions in the future. For the great mass of people, that reflexive process happens mostly below conscious level and without reasoning and gets us in trouble over and over.

Our ability to perceive fact and make accurate evaluations is skewed by our five sense pleasure/pain emotional experiences: culture, environment, parents and siblings, religion, remembered past judgments, the imagined memory of other's motives and actions, illogical emotional reasoning, lack of training in discerning fact from fiction, ad infinitum. Because of all the above, we perpetuate and compound our errors without even knowing we're shooting ourselves in the foot.

All of the erroneous assumptions, expectations, conclusions our minds have made in the past - forming our personalities into who we are in the present - must be corrected, cleared, adjusted, and balanced. Realigning our personality is the beginning of the Great Work, and it presents a great challenge: If we've maintained error for so long, how do we learn the truth about ourselves?

INTUITION

One definition of intuition says it's "the power or faculty of attaining to direct knowledge or cognition without evident rational thought and inference." Intuition as "quick and ready insight⁵" comes from somewhere, because it is mental matter of some vibration. The only source of anything is THE LIMITLESS LIGHT, by whatever name you call it. SO:

INTUITION COMES FROM THE LIMITLESS LIGHT

The Qabalistic technique of willfully focusing and concentrating on a topic in order to receive intuition, is the practice which reveals the truth about the Self and allows students to clear and clean, correct and balance, their mental matter, which subsequently adjusts their personality closer to perfect balance.

The technique is scientific. Remember Norman Vincent Peale's The Power of Positive Thinking? He knew the science. Remember: You are what you eat? That science applies to the body: eat fat get fat. Well, guess what... YOU ARE WHAT YOU THINK, and that science applies to the personality: think mean be mean. Think Light be Light. It's an application of volition.

The beauty of THE LIMITLESS LIGHT is that we have the immediate Volition to choose what we think, therefore to ultimately transform how we experience life. But living in the LIGHT takes practice and guidance and evolves slowly. With constant practice, the Light grows bright.

It's not called THE GREAT WORK for nothing. And the Lace of Life gets more complicated. According to Esoteric Buddhism, the sole purpose of human existence is to have experiences that teach us lessons so we evolve into pure, conscious, spiritual beings independent of a body. Now, having lived through hundreds of previous lives, we've taken grievous actions, made mistakes, committed error. In a word, we've committed every heinous act possible, and we have a lot of correcting and balancing to do. According to Newton's Law⁶: for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction even if we aren't around to see it. Which applies not only to the action of metal balls on wires clicking invisible energy from one end to the other, but also to the invisible constant motion of plate tectonics altering the configuration of Earth's land mass. Not only the visible, physical universe is subject to the Law, but so is the invisible universe of THOUGHT. Remember? Thought is Energetic.

Since we are not conscious of all the damaging actions we've done in this life, let alone past lives, there is only one way to consciously correct the errors we've made: EVERY THOUGHT WE THINK, EVERY WORD WE SPEAK, AND EVERY ACTION WE TAKE must be free of all possible injury to other sentient beings. The bad news is that even if we could do that, it would simply maintain us at break-even in this life and not even touch past life error⁷.

The only way we can consciously make up for past life error is to perform quadruple more Good than bad in This Lifetime. So very much more Good that we not only break even, but we begin to equalize past error.

IT'S NOT CALLED THE GREAT WORK FOR NOTHING

A layer of Lace for consolation: Given the circumstances, you couldn't have done otherwise.

Remember, THE LIMITLESS LIGHT is also The Fire Within. Your body and your personality are simply the vehicles for experiencing lessons which expand consciousness. Once you've "been there done that" you know better and don't have to do it again - if you learned the lesson.

This is where the Lace Of Life doubles back and layers over itself, becoming thick and intricate, for - everything is connected, nothing is separate, every strand has an energetic attachment to every other strand. Listen, Embodiment of Love, you have done, you are doing, and you will continue to do exactly what you are supposed to do. You are an extension of THE LIMITLESS LIGHT, personified in flesh. It can be no different, given Omnipotent, Omniscient, and Omnipresent. Granted, you are an unfinished work of art. THE LIMITLESS LIGHT is still designing you, weaving strands of lace into your unique pattern that will never be duplicated throughout eternity. And so it is with all humanity.

Be that as it may, since you haven't thrown down this introduction in total disgust, you have now attained a level of consciousness that recognizes the possibility of past life actions (good and bad) rolling forward into this life. Conclusion: you are at a stage in your spiritual evolution where you can consciously speed up the process and arrive at a state of totally equilibrated consciousness during this lifetime. In other words, become free of Karma, which is simply the Eastern way of stating Newton's Law of equal and opposite reaction - much misunderstood in the West.

Karma-free consciousness is the level at which Jesus of Nazareth was born. That's why He was called "without sin," and "pure." That state of consciousness is also called Christ Consciousness, which is available to you sooner than later if you devote yourself to The Great Work, and does not depend on belief of Jesus as the 'Only Begotten Son of God'. Christ Consciousness is no less than the bone deep certain knowledge, the inner experience of spiritual immortality⁸. Yeheshuah⁹ described His state of consciousness as "Being in the world but not of it," which translates to the body in the world and the spirit in temporary residence.

How many years (lives?) did it take for you to evolve to where you are? How many seminars? How much praying? How many sermons? How many different disciplines? What kinds of "new age" therapies? How many years of searching? Oh ye beautiful seeker of the Light! How much of The Great Work have you already done and don't know it? How far has your higher self already evolved your personality towards spiritual attainment of union?

In partial fulfillment of its mandate from the Ascended Masters of Compassion, Naveh haMarah presents a school of the Western Mysteries. The Sacred Order of the Holy Mother is an initiatory Qabalistic Mystery School offering practical courses designed to furnish an aspirant with the tools to rend the veil of flesh, and consciously realize THE FIRE WITHIN.

The practical exercises are presented sequentially, one building one the other to expand consciousness. You must do the Work for yourself. No one can do it for you. Only you can go within your Holy of Holies and perform the personality transformations¹⁰.

The first instruction is to begin practicing Western Meditation. If you already meditate, do not skip over this instruction. Western Meditation is far different from the Eastern variety, just as Western methods of achieving union with the Limitless Light are different. Received by Adepts, these practices are active and focused, then transmitted to those who wish to attain.

Once you reach a certain level of meditation: Once you have worked and practiced enough to achieve a certain clarity of mind and body; once your intention to complete the Great Work is as pre-conscious as your intention for the sun to rise; once you are totally dedicated to work "for the greater good of all," the Inner School with gift you with an Inner Teacher.

Even then, without your willful perseverance and constant practice; without your vigilant discrimination in mastering the Astral Plane in order to access the Spiritual Plane; without your purity of desire for attainment, all may be postponed. The steeple on a country church symbolizes the path and points the way; broad at the bottom for many who are called to enter, straight and narrowing to the top for the few who are chosen, until it vanishes, pointing to infinity and eternity. Not all attain the pinnacle in this lifetime¹¹. However, all will ultimately gain conscious knowledge of THE LIMITLESS LIGHT.

Given Omnipotent, Omniscient, Omnipresent; given The One Thing; given the solid, thick, and lacy matrix of All That Is, and eternity to practice, attainment is assured.

Nevertheless, you have tread this path before or you wouldn't be reading this now. Though you may not be ready to complete the transformational journey just yet, the increasing distance you travel toward the Light in this lifetime and the Good your personal efforts achieve for all mankind, carries over into your next lifetime.

Immortals, fearless with patience, vision, and wit, continue their transformational work while leading yet another business-as-usual human life. They demonstrate good-will, true love, applied wisdom, high good nature, humor, and normalcy. "They may indeed be so normal that recognition of what They are may escape notice.

"They will, finally, demonstrate to all around Them, the significance of right motive, the beauty of selfless service, and a vivid intellectual perception"¹².
